Verify prospective member meets criteria

  • Prospective member must have a Social Security Number (SSN) OR a Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN)

  • You are eligible to join if you:

    • Live, work, workship, or attend school in the county, or
    • If you are a family member of an existing member.

Does Prospective Member Meet the Above Criteria?

 

Complete the following:

 

  1. Run a credit check
  2. Check against databases to verify identity and detect potential fraud
  3. Use third-party services to confirm the validity of identification documents.
Do they pass the above steps?

 

Check OFAC

  1. Navigate to OFAC in System X
  2. Look up member
  3. Determine if prospect has a match appear in OFAC
Do they appear in OFAC?

 

Escalate

Give me one moment while I check something with my manager.

  1. Contact [name of person]

  2. Inform them that prospective member appears in OFAC.

  3. Follow their instructions for how to proceed.
